Free to start, open the app, build a Cloud Locker, listen on one device, forever. Collectors at $4.99/month adds cross-device sync, lossless streaming on every device, and ad-free listening. Annual is $49/year, but the first 100 members lock in $29/year, founder pricing, for the lifetime of their subscription.
The first 100 members on the annual plan pay $29/year and that rate sticks for as long as they stay subscribed, even when our public price rises. Cancel and rejoin and the rate is gone; while you stay subscribed, it's locked. We'd rather grow with the early supporters than reprice them later.
Free works on one device, phone, laptop, or tablet, your choice, but only one at a time. Collectors adds sync across all of them: phone + laptop + MP3 player + car, lossless on every device, and ad-free. Same locker, broader access.
Yes. One tap from the Membership screen, or directly from your Stripe receipt. Your locker stays, every captured / purchased track is yours forever. Canceling drops you back to one device, but it doesn't delete a single file.
Progressive. 0% until you've earned $1,000 on Uki, every dollar of revenue is yours. Then 10% on the slice from $1K–$10K, 15% from $10K–$100K, 20% above that. Tips and pay-what-you-want overage are 100% yours at every tier. Compare with Spotify (~30% before label cut), iTunes (30%), Bandcamp (15% + 4–6% payment).
Artist onboarding opens later, release date TBD. Until then, write to artists@uki.audio if you want to be in the first cohort, we're handpicking a small group to launch alongside.
Yes, and we mean really. Email capture is built into every fan purchase, opt-in. The list is yours; export it any time. Tour announcements, merch drops, secret EPs, Uki doesn't sit between you and your fans.
Monthly payouts on the 15th. $10 minimum. Real-time balance + receipt history in your dashboard. ACH for US artists, Wise for international. No rolling float, no 90-day holds.
Bandcamp is a webpage; Uki is a stack. Same artist-first economics, but Uki adds a Cloud Locker (cross-device sync), a real player (Apple-class), Uki Radio (live + algorithmic), the Uki Collect hardware line for ripping vinyl / CDs / cassettes, and DSP distribution to Spotify / Apple Music / Tidal at the label tier.
Three ways. (1) Buy it from any artist on Uki, when the store opens. (2) Hear it on Uki Radio and tap "Own This." (3) Rip from physical media using the Uki Collect hardware (vinyl, CDs, cassettes). All three land in the same locker, lossless, yours forever.
The web app at uki.audio/app works today and shows the whole product flow, install it as a PWA from the homepage. Native iOS arrives in 2026, Android shortly after. The PWA gets the same updates in parallel.
Lock-screen audio control, persistent background playback, USB-C hardware integration, AirPlay routing, Apple Pay, none of those work as well in a browser tab. The PWA install gives you a real home-screen tile and the right home for the listening experience. The web is for marketing and your artist page.
None we're hiding. We're a small, independent team. Pricing is in beta. The store, artist platform, and hardware are all on the way, release dates TBD. If we screw something up, write to hello@uki.audio, we'll fix it or tell you why we won't.
